Eye Glasses Collection

The Race for Vision event on June 11^th (Round 7 of the VCHSS) is being sponsored by the Dahlgren Lions Club.  One of the functions of the club is providing eyeglasses to those who can’t afford them.  These eyeglasses are typically obtained from people who are willing to donate their used or out-dated eyeglasses.  The collected eyeglasses are refurbished prior to being given to those who need them.

Anyone wishing to donate old or not-being-used eyeglasses to this cause may do so by either bringing them to the Reddy Hole West event in Bristol on May 30 or by bringing them to the Race for Vision event in King George on June 6^th or by dropping them off at the trailer of Greer Racing.  We will have a collection box available at the races.  Please include a note in the box so that we can keep track of those who helped with this fundraiser.

Anyone willing to take the time to collect eyeglasses from your friends, co-workers or any other place of business is appreciated.  Just make sure that we get them by the end of the weekend on June 6.
