The easiest way is to attend one of our events and apply in person
for a VCHSS D13/Competition Card. Competition Cards are available
at sign up for $15.00.

Send in the Competition Card form to the address listed on the form or
apply for it on race day.

The Points Coordinator is
the series representative who can address and correct and any discrepancies
that may occur. Most inquiries can be handled within a few days.
If the issue being addressed requires contacting the race promoter
for the event in question, additional time will be required.

| 4. How can my company become
a VCHSS series sponsor or be a contributor to the Helmet Fund? |

Information on becoming a Series Sponsor or a Supporting Dealer can be obtained by emailing the
Awards
Coordinator.

| 5. How long is each VCHSS race?
|
|
This depends on the class that you entered at the event.
The Mini's run for 1 hour. Their start time is at
8:30AM on race day.
The Horizon classes are made up of the
Pee Wee and JR. Mini classes. They run 15 minutes and 20 minutes
respectively. The Horizon classes start at 9:30AM on race day.
The C Class race is made of all C
Classes and the Masters class. Their start
time is 10:45AM on race day and will run for 1.5 hours.
The Main event, which in made up of the
AA and all A/B classes run for 2 hours. Their start
time is 1:00PM on race day.

| 6. What are the entry fees?

Horizon classes are $12.00.
The Mini is $22.00.
Main C, Woman and Masters is $30.00.
The Main Event (AA/A/B/C) is $30.00.
There is no pre-entry for any event.

7. Is there camping available at VCHSS
events?

At most race location primitive camping is allowed. Be sure
to check the Schedule page for
details on each event.
The only event that does NOT
allow camping is the Peninsula 100 in Newport News, VA.

| 8. What time is Sign-Up for the races?

Sign-up starts typically starts at 7AM race day. Certain events may allow riders
to sign-up the night before. Check with the promoter to see
if there will be early sign-up.

| 9. Do I need an AMA or District 13 card
to race a VCHSS event? |

The VCHSS joined the AMA in 2005. An AMA card will be
required to compete on race day. The easiest way to get your AMA
card is online at: www.ama-cycle.org
or call 1-800-AMA-JOIN. They will also be available on race day.

| 10. How long are the courses?

Horizon Courses are less than 0.5 mile for Pee Wee riders and up to
1.5 miles for JR. Mini riders.
The Mini, Masters, Women and Super mini
courses average about 6 miles in length with an average race running
about 20 miles.
The Main Event courses range from 6 to
12 miles with an average race running about 40 miles in length.

| 11. Can ATVs participate in the VCHSS

If you want to submit a picture from one of our events, please send
it to the Webmaster in JPEG format
(< 50Kb) along with the event name, the class entered and the photographer
who took it.

posted on the VCHSS website? |

All ads submitted to the VCHSS for posting will go on the For Sale
section of the website. Send your information to the Webmaster.
Don't forget to send the following info: selling price, what year it
is, what size it is, what it goes on and personal contact info. You can include a picture but try to keep the file size to
50Kb. Please do not send bitmaps.
All For Sale ads that
are placed on the VCHSS Bulletin Board will be removed and placed in
the appropriate area of the For Sale section.

What is allowed?
Any topic that represents the ideas and positive image of the Virginia
Championship Hare Scramble Series.
What is not
allowed? Topics that would tarnish the image of the
Virginia Championship Hare Scramble Series and it's sponsors.
These topics will be reviewed and if deemed inappropriate will be
deleted. Notification will be sent to the original poster of the
topic of concern.
All For Sale ads that
are placed on the VCHSS Bulletin Board will be removed and placed in
the appropriate area of the For Sale section.

| 15. Are colored
backgrounds required in the VCHSS? |

No colored backgrounds
are not required.
Per AMA Rule Book:
b. Numbers must be a least five-inch
high standard block letters; numbers must not be shaded or
outlined. Lettering must have a professional appearance. AMA
national numbers will take precedence in all events, and will be
designated by a 3-inch letter N (such as 1N). Nothing but the number
and letter may appear on a number plate, except to allow top two
inches of the front number plate for sponsor or rider name.
